The government today failed to end the ongoing hunger strike of Ganga Maya Adhikari and Nanda Prasad Adhikari.

The Adhikari couple denied breaking their 43-day long fast. They have been insisting that those responsible for the murder of their son Krishna Prasad Adhikari are brought to book. A government team led by Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister Krishna Hari Baskota reached the ICU of Bir Hospital to feed the Adhikari couple a day after the Supreme Court gave an order in the name of government authorities to force-feed Adhikari couple, if they do not end their hunger strike on their own. The government team asked the couple to end the fast-unto-death strike saying that the government has already initiated the process to arrest those responsible for the murder of their son. The Adhikari couple, however, insisted that they won’t trust anybody.
