Special Court extends 15 more days

The Special Court extended the investigation period of 35 officers detained by Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority CIAA. The court issued an order to extend 15 more days' detainment to 39 persons, including 35 government employees. 35 employees from Department of foreign employment and Immigration Department were remanded for approving the false documents presented by manpower companies before sending workers to foreign employment. A division bench of Special Court Chairman Kedar Prasad Chalise and members Mohan Raman Bhattarai and Bhupendra Prasad Rai issued the order on retaining 17 employees from Foreign Employment Department, 18 other employees and four foreign employment entrepreneurs in prison for 15 more days to continue investigation. They were produced before the court on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Tribhuwan International Airport Immigration Office returned some abroad moving youths. The TIA's move comes after the CIAA detained its 20 officers.
