Talks between High Level Political Committee and 33 parties end inconclusively

The talks between High Level Political Committee and the dissenting 33 political parties' alliance led by CPN-Maoist ended inconclusively. However today's meeting ended on a positive note after the 4 major parties were ready to show flexibility to postpone the polls date.The meeting held at committee's secretariat in New Baneshwor today failed to forge consensus on 18 point demands put forth by agitating parties. However both the sides, have agreed to sit for a next round of talks within a couple of days. The high-level political committee said it is ready to change the election date if the Mohan Baidya-led alliance agrees to join the polls. The High Level Political Committee is holding ´decisive´ talks with the dissident parties to bring them on board the election process. Meanwhile, the talks between High Level Political Committee and federal democratic front have also ended inconclusively. The meeting held at New BAneshwor this evening could not make any concrete decisions. However they have claimed of positive dialogue and reaching to a conclusion by tomorrow. Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal chairman Upendra Yadav said that both the sides have agreed to resume the talks. The meeting is called again for tomorrow evening.
