Various political leaders said that CA election will be held in time

Leaders of various political parties have expressed the commitment of holding the Constituent Assembly elections in the slate date. They urged all not to have any suspicion over the election. Speaking at a program in the capital, Unified CPN-Maoist leader Barsa Man Pun said that the Constituent Assembly will promulgate a new constitution within a year. Likewise, CPN-UML leader Raghuji Panta said the major parties should move ahead by addressing the genuine demands of the poll-opposing parties. He added that the CPN-Maoist should not be left behind in the polls. Similarly, Nepali Congress leader Dr. Ram Saran Mahat said the parties are committed to holding the elections within the stipulated time. Nepal suggested former King Gyanendra Shah to take part in the upcoming elections CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has indicated at the possibility of deferring the Constituent Assembly elections if the CPN-Maoist guaranteed its participation in the polls. Speaking at a program in Birgunj, leader Nepal said the elections can be deferred only if the CPN-Maoist agreed to take part in the elections. He also said that the parties would not compromise on issues, including national unity, common identity and federalism. On the occasion, he also suggested former King Gyanendra Shah to take part in the upcoming elections by registering his party.
