Congress and UML decide to adopt maximum flexibility to the proposal of agitating parties

Nepali Congress and CPN-UML decided to forge a common stance apropos to the proposal floated by the agitating political parties. The meeting concluded that the four major parties should come up with a common position to cope with the demands of the dissident parties. In a meeting held in Lalitpur, NC and UML agreed to exhibit utmost flexibility towards the dissidents’ demands. They also agreed to continue holding talks with the poll-opposing parties to ensure their participation in the elections. The two parties, however, said that they should maintain their stance against the postponement of the polls. The meeting was attended by Congress President Sushil Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and leader Dr. Ram Saran Mahat. Likewise, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal, senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, and leader K P Oli represented the UML.
