Election Commission office bearers apprised Chairman of Election Council Khil Raj Regmi on the preparations of the Election Commission for the CA polls.
During a meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence at Baluwatar, the EC office-bearers familiarized Chairman Regmi about the progress made on preparations of the CA polls. A team of EC, including Chief Election Commissioner, Nil Kantha Upreti had reached Baluwatar this morning. They informed that the preparations for CA election has reached its final phase and urged the government to create more congenial political environment for participation of all political parties.
Chief Election Commissioner Upreti urged Chairman Regmi to create a political environment that is conducive to holding the elections. On the occasion, Regmi assured of all possible support to the Election Commission to hold timely elections without hampering the election. Likewise, they also discussed on the issue of extending time for the voters' list registration.
