National football team left to Bahrain

The national football team has left to Bahrain for practice matches as part of preparation for the SAFF Championship. All Nepal Football Association bided farewell to the squad for the friendly matches against Bahrain and Kuwait. The team will hold practice for 2 weeks. A team comprising 30 players was busy in internal practice since last 2 months. Earlier on Saturday, ANFA had announced the 25 member squad for the game. The team is selected by coach Jack Stefan-owski and his assistant Richard Orlowski. The SAFF Championship is scheduled to kick off in Kathmandu from September 1st, 2013. Nepal is under Group A along with India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Similarly, Group B comprises Afghanistan, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. Nepal will play its first match on September 1st evening against Bangladesh.
